Medium Well prepares website for 'Oprah Effect'

When Oprah says,' you need this!' on her show, be prepared...

A major NYC fashion manufacturer came to Medium Well to help with the upcoming potential mention of their product on the Oprah Winfrey Show. The producers of the show needed assurance that this manufacturer's site could handle the inevitable spike in website traffic and that the mentioned product would be available for sale on the site.

Time was running short. Medium Well Inc. immediately assessed that a new site would be the best solution to the problem. In two short weeks, Medium Well Inc. moved the site to a dedicated server, redesigned the layout and navigation for ease of use, and optimized the site with static urls so as to reduce the load on the server. This improved the browsing efficiency of the site and reduced the risk the server and website would crash.
